Meet Hope Mallory whose second romance in her Azalea Valley series, Rhythm in Blue is releasing October 16th. In celebration, Hope is offering an autographed copy of the first book in the series, Wildfire and Roses to a reader. (US Only.)
Hope, please tell us a little about yourself.
Although I’ve always had a secret desire to write a novel, I never imagined I would ever do it. After retiring from a career in education, I discovered my passion for writing romance. Married with children and grandchildren, my husband and I live near Nashville, TN and travel every chance we get. The beach is my happy place. Oh, mine too!

I love firsts, so tell me about the moment when a publisher told you they wanted to publish your book.
What an incredible week! My husband and I were on a dream trip to Europe during the week of our anniversary. We were on the tour bus leaving Lucerne, Switzerland when I opened my email and got the wonderful news they wanted to publish my book. We bought champagne, and that night, we celebrated with everyone on our tour.

If it isn’t too nosy. How about the first time you kissed your true love?
My husband and I still talk about our first kiss. It was magical and electric. We had been friends for months prior. After he kissed me, we began dating and the rest is history. We are living our happily ever after. 😊

Any advice for new writers just starting out?
Make writing a priority and never give up.
Tell us about Rhythm in Blue

My novel is a small-town enemies-to-lovers contemporary romance.

Reeling from a broken relationship, Brenner McLemore says goodbye to men and dreams of a family to focus on her other loves—art and dance. That is until Garrett Davenport, her former college instructor and nemesis, arrives in Azalea Valley to step into the director’s position in the dance studio where she teaches—exactly the job Brenner wants.

Garrett finds life in the small town a challenge while he works with the beautiful and talented Brenner. When they match passions in a sensual dance before an audience, Garrett realizes their budding relationship threatens to derail his chance for a coveted position at his former university.

Brenner, struggling to regain her footing, begins to choreograph a new future, but will it be enough? Will their love take flight or will the curtain fall?

Garrett extended his hand. The gentle squeeze when Brenner placed her hand in his calmed any remaining tension. Together they glided onstage and assumed positions, their gazes riveted on each other as the music escalated. Brenner mirrored his every move. In flawless sync, they swayed and floated to the strains matching the ebb and flow of the melody. Retreating and advancing. He tossed her into the air; she spiralled suspended in a transformed reality. Like being lifted outside of herself, she lost consciousness of everything except the dance and the man she loved. In a fluid move, he caught her. She slid down his body inch by inch, her hands skimming his face and grazing his chest. Their moves were precise. Intimate. Sensual. Time stopped. There was only Garrett.

Wow! What an amazing description. My heart sighed.

Sparks fly when tenacious mountain climber and hiker Beasley McLemore meets hot smokejumper Will Gregor on a search and rescue mission in Yosemite. Getting together, however, isn't easy. Strong-willed Beasley is bent on building a thriving landscaping business back home in the foothills of the majestic Smoky Mountains. Busy working 24/7, she has no time or energy for a man in her life...she thinks.

Scorched by love in his past, Will is content to live near awe-inspiring Lake Tahoe where he saves lives and forests as a remote wildland firefighter. He doesn't need a committed relationship complicating his dangerous lifestyle...he thinks.

Through life-changing events and a family mystery, each must question long held beliefs about work, love, and life. Looming over their blossoming love affair is the 2,400 miles separating their homes and livelihoods. Will love keep them together or distance tear them apart?
